One of the recent projects by the City Hall of Fortaleza that has worked very, very well is the revitalization of Avenida Beira-Mar, the city's main avenue.
Concluded about 1 year ago, the revitalization has several aspects: from filling a larger strip of sand to guarantee more entrepreneurs in the place, the installation of an interlocking floor, an efficient drainage system, the regularization of street vendors - which today are micro-entrepreneurs registered with the MEI - and the installation of personalized kiosks, most with coconut palm replanting.
Altogether, more than 1,300 permit holders were trained in the program, and today they are monitored in periodic meetings by the regional government responsible for the project. The idea is to follow the principle of the three R's: reduce, reuse and recycle.
Nova Beira-Mar is today a source of pride for merchants, the population and tourists. Learn more about the project here: https://www.fortaleza.ce. gov.br/noticias/com- capacitacao-e-ordenamento- nova-beira-mar-impulsiona-development-economico-da-city
